The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Committee on Scouting works with Catholic Scouts, Scouters, and Scouting units within the Archdiocese.  We work to strengthen the faith of those in the Scouting program by offering educational activities, fellowship events, and opportunities for evangelization.  We believe that all Scouts should live the 12th point of the Scout Law:  A Scout is Reverent.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia covers the City of Philadelphia, and the Counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery.  Our Boy Scout councils include the the Chester County Council, the Cradle of Liberty Council, and the Washington Crossing Council.

"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not         depart from it."

    Proverbs 22:6

"Scouting programs seek to instill the importance of duty to God and to country, and groups chartered through the Catholic Church witness to the faith while continuing to provide an opportunity to involve youth in the life of the local parish."

Donald Cardinal Weurl, Archbishop of Washington
